Babes on Broadway

Date: October 12, 2017

Time: 5:30 - 9 pm

Location: Downtown Lake Orion, MI

This past October 12th, Simply Marcella partnered with the Lake Orion DDA to host a Ladies Night Out and it was a huge success!

All of the profits from this event, $3200, went to Humble Design.

“…a non-profit helping families transitioning out of homeless shelters by providing furnishings and design services. We turn their empty house into a clean, dignified and welcoming home. It’s a very simple idea that can change a family’s future.”

Tickets sold out 3 weeks before the event!

15 Local Broadway Gents* manned the Check-in tables in front of Simply Marcella, 20 Front St., the Event Place and ABeanToGo coffee.  Once the ladies were all check in you could find the Gents walking through downtown, opening doors, taking pictures and walking participants across the street.

The ladies spent the evening walking around having their cards initialed at each of the 27 participating business, collecting free trinkets and enjoying the best downtown Lake Orion has to offer! (Scroll down to see all of the participating businesses of this year’s event! Click the links to visit their websites!)

At the end of the evening, everyone met at Lockhart’s BBQ on Flint St. That’s where they turned in their Babes cards to be entered to win one of the many gifts and gift certificates donated by our participating businesses.

Our very own State Representative, John Reilly was the emcee for the evening, handing out raffle prizes and chatting with all the Babes in attendance!

Once the money was counted, a representative of Humble Design accepted a giant check for the funds raised by this event.
