A great way to start your year off right was to run in the 10th Annual New Year’s Resolution Run. A fun 5k run that meanders through scenic Lake Orion. Some participants stated that the hardest part of the run is that it takes place on New Year's Day! After a late night out ringing in the New Year, one needed to get up early and get ready for the run. Luckily the date of the run is factored in and the 5k started promptly at 10am. There were over 250 people (ages 6-80) from all over Michigan and even from other states. Some male runners dressed up for the run in bridesmaid’s gowns and other runners wore wild hats. Some runners even brought their dogs along for the fun! The weather was perfect (considering it is Michigan), chilly with no snow or breeze. The Lake Orion Police Department and DPW did a fabulous job making sure the streets were well plowed and salted for the runners.
