Meet the DDA Board
The Lake Orion Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Board plays a vital role in advancing the pillars of Main Street America, fostering a vibrant, economically resilient, and community-focused downtown. Through its leadership, the board champions the Four-Point Approach—Design, Economic Vitality, Promotion, and Organization—to ensure the historic charm and economic sustainability of Lake Orion’s downtown district. The DDA Board supports Design by preserving and enhancing the area’s architectural heritage and public spaces, creating a visually appealing and welcoming environment. It drives Economic Vitality by supporting local businesses, attracting investment, and implementing initiatives that encourage downtown growth and stability. The board enhances Promotion efforts through strategic marketing, events, and community engagement that draw visitors and residents alike. Lastly, through Organization, the board fosters collaboration among stakeholders, secures funding, and ensures efficient governance to sustain long-term revitalization efforts. By embracing these principles, the Lake Orion DDA Board strengthens the community’s identity, preserves its history, and fosters a thriving, walkable downtown.
The DDA Board of Directors consists of local property owners, business owners, and residents. Also on the DDA Board are the Village Council President and Orion Township Supervisor.
