The Pure Michigan Small Business Relief Initiative
The Pure Michigan Small Business Relief Initiative will utilize federal CARES Act funding to award grants of up to $15,000 to at least 670 small businesses across Michigan. The grant application for small businesses to apply will open on December 15, 2020 at 9:00 A.M. ET. Grants will be awarded in the amount of up to $15,000 per eligible business on a “first-in” basis. Grant funds will assist eligible small businesses directly impacted by COVID-19 meet urgent working capital needs including payroll expenses, rent or mortgage payments and utility expenses in the following industries:

Travel and tourism destinations including lodging providers and hospitality businesses
Live event venues and movie theaters
Conference and meeting facilities
Ice skating rinks, indoor water parks and bowling centers

Oakland Together Restaurant Relief Program
The $10 million Oakland Together Restaurant Relief Program will use $7 million of Oakland County’s federal CARES Act allocation and $3 million from the county’s general fund to help restaurants hurt by the COVID-19 pandemic and a reduction in business. Interested restaurants and bars owners can go to www.oakgov.com/covid beginning December 15 to get further information.

eBay Up & Running Grants
From Monday, Nov. 23, through Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, eBay small business sellers are encouraged to apply for Up & Running Grants via an online application.
50 eBay small business sellers will receive grant packages of $10,000, including cash, eBay credits, coaching through eBay Seller School, and more. Apply by sharing how you would invest the grant to grow your business online.
eBay is partnering with business accelerator Hello Alice to launch the grants program application and to provide access to mentorship and resources to all sellers who apply, whether they are ultimately chosen for a grant or not. Through Hello Alice, applicants will be enrolled in an online community of similar businesses for peer-to-peer networking and will also have access to their COVID-19 Business Center.

2021 Kresge Artists Fellowships for Metro Detroit Literary and Visual Artists
Metropolitan Detroit literary and visual artists are invited to apply for a 2021 Kresge Artist Fellowship. Applications must be submitted online via Slideroom from December 1 through January 14.  Kresge Artist Fellowships are $25,000 no strings attached awards, plus professional development support and the creation of a short film highlighting the artist’s work. Ten Gilda Awards, $5,000 prizes for emerging artists, will also be awarded.
